Carnival

**HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANNON MILLER**

Friday we enjoyed my work carnival at the fair grounds and brought little ms. 3 yr old adeline. omg i loved it. she is such a doll. she made a new boyfriend liam, collected glow stick necklaces, played games, bounced in 3 moon bounces, got her arm painted, got a balloon heart made AND ate 3 bags of cotton candy all on her own. Unfortunately, my camera died very early on but here is the start of the evening....we rocked it out from 6-1030 pm.

It seriously is really cool our work has outings like this. Makes you realize how many kids people have!!

Carrie, Shannon, Chris and Brenna all acted as surrogate parents for adeline as well....jason and jenny brought little aiden and i could have carried her all night. amy and rick tracked drew...but anyway, ill try to get more photos. i just had to bring to light the striking resemblance and that she truly is my child.

*much love*

5

5 funny things that happened today...

1) My boss (Rick) reminded me again that I could name my baby Eduardo...there is a long story behind this but it always makes me chuckle

2) I called a pizza place that also does taxes on the side

3) At lunch w. ms. julie c. i made something as simple as packing my quesadillas to go a large debacle that involved extra plastic containers and spilled salsa

4) I accidently sent one friend another friend's whole phone contact list - I still don't even know how. Blackberry is too sophisticated for me

5) I called the lady to schedule the gender sonogram appt. - she asked me if I knew what i needed to do ahead of time and I listed the exact 6 things they wanted me to do (down to the number of ounces of water and clothes to wear). She was taken aback a bit i think...but, I'm excited so whatever

Sorry this is short but I'm tired...worked a little bit longer day today.

Charlie Brown Baby

I highly recommend Dr. Leland. He's great people. He took this phenomenal picture of our charlie brown baby. If you look closely, you can see the baby's face looking down towards the ground and his feet gearing up to kick a football. Maybe he already missed the kick and fell flat on his/her face, i don't know. Damn that Lucy. Thankfully Schulz is dead so he can't add our baby to the peanuts gang. Speaking of falling flat on your face, how about that Michigan loss to Utah. Terrible. They better pick it up for the big Notre Dame game this weekend. Ok back to life activities before I am forced to delete sports related content. Blogging is great and I especially love it when I can write about some imbecil hitting our parked car this weekend. You had to see the location, no way you could hit us unless you tried. Anyways, our man Craig hooked us up down at Briarwood Ford so we'll be back in the game by next week. No more sports references, ok ok. Other than that we had a great weekend in South Haven with the family. Made me excited to take our soon to be born small child swimming and on bike rides and what not. I'm sure there will be times when I'll want to shove him/her back up my wife's womb but I'll do my best to control my temper. I'm not really known for having one so should be A ok there. We also celebrated my beautiful wife's 24th birthday last week, don't know if she blogged about that or not, I don't really read this thing and should probably write on here a lot more. All in all I can't complain and the Sanchez household is doing great. Does anyone want a 3lb chihuahua named Guacamole, he will not stop barking. I am about to throw him out the window.

LOST

So, I'm curled up alone watching the Season 4 finale of Lost. All through work today I just wanted to be home so I could watch it. Then, yesterday my birthday comes and Frank says we can do anything I want (insert gross shannon joke here) and all I want to do is nap and watch Lost. It's official. I am a loser- send a button or banner or something.

On other news, August rocked it out at work so that is great. If things keep going this way I def. get Fridays off after the baby comes!! Woohoo!!

Frank will be home at midnight so that sucks a bit. I'm looking at my fall and it's already crammed each weekend. Between his schedule and my trips he may not see me until Baby Snoozer is making its entrance into the world. I don't know why I let myself get this busy. Trips to St Louis, Grand Rapids and maybe even CA now. ( I can not wait to see all my long distance girls again thoug!!) On a good note, no traveling for work I don't think because of el bebe.

Parting thought- my niece Adeline (shes 3) dictated a card for my bday. It says "First it's a party time. Then, it's a balloon time" Adeline has captured birthdays so simply. Haha.

Ok, off to finish my Lost so that I can feel like the comfy loser I am.

PS- frank's turn was next which explains a) why this took so long b) surprise it ends up being my anyway

Dinner and Crazy Teens

So, I was at the mall tonight for dinner with an old friend from high school. There were a table of four 16 yr oldish girls chatting away at the booth a few feet away. Watching them carefully disect eachother and what each boy in the room was doing and who was looking at who reminded me just how far I've come.

I very well may be a bit of an outlier on this but I was a crazy teen in high school. No, I didn't drink or do drugs but wow was I "special". I claimed to be in love with numerous boys after just one date. I analyzed and re-analyzed every potential romantic encounter. After one particular date, I stopped at a good friend's house where she lived with her PARENTS and asked to borrow a blanket at about midnight to snuggle in the park with a particular fella. It was our first date...I thought he was the one. I'm pretty sure I was not supposed to be in the park at midnight.

Realizing now that I may have a girl makes me nervous. I was such a handful - snotty, outspoken, all knowing, princess, supreme ruler of the Wiard house. At one point my mom was locked in her room asking for 5 minutes of peace as I screamed through the door. Oh the joys of teen girls.

Now, my mom and I are best of friends. We take trips and laugh and give eachother advice. I never back her into a room and make her beg for mercy. But still....

So, basically, each night as you sit by your beds please pray for a boy. (And, Carrie - while you're at it put those water bottles away)

Ten Things That Are On My Mind

1) Can't wait for baby snoozer to grow and arrive as he is only an inch big. He because we think it is a boy.
2) My wife has been great throughout it all and enjoys taking her daily vitamin with a small glass of organic milk.
3) The new job is fun and unique as i'm coming home covered in either sauce or flour
4) Got the employee discount and ate some hot n ready tonight. A 14" pie oven fresh with a light gold crust.
5) I finally clipped Guacamole's nails which is probably one of the toughest things in the world to do
6) Tomorrow we get to hang out with Carrie and Shannon who are the coolest
7) Can't wait to go to South Haven next weekend
8) My grandma is in the hospital awaiting surgery on her aortic valve. Hillary thinks it is from all the crisco she bakes with. I tell her crisco is necessary when frying sausage and bacon.
9) I'm naked
10) Next time I write I probably won't be naked and I definitely won't have Hillary comment on each and every word i type. "oh my gosh you're using the backspace way too much are you nervous?!??! What's wrong with you, why can't you spell suuuuaaasage."

Baby Snoozer - Picture Day

So, I'll try to keep this brief but a lot of "long" distance friends/family have requested updates so here we go! Baby Snoozer had his/her first picture day today. The one to the left was our favorite. So far, everything looks a-ok. He's just about an inch long, looks like a turtle and was dancing on the screen to the doctor's amazement.
My mom came and was super helpful/supportive. Ironically, the blood drawing was the worst part.
Other than that, Frank's new job is splendid and I am just tired as all get out.
I'll try to keep this up and quasi interesting for the avid readers out there.
PS: niece adeline is apparently also carrying a baby so that should be good fun
Goals so far:
1) Have Baby Snoozer a decent savings acct before (s)he's born
2) Have a plan to try to get back in shape for Laura's wedding - these nuggets are already doing their damage ha
3) Keep date night at least once a week....we'll see how that goes
4) Talk Gina into keeping her blog up too so I can vent with someone else
5) Sign up for a lamaze class with Amy that promises to reduce all pain of child birth
CIAO!
